This is Innisfree's Creamy Tint Lipstick in 3 - Dreaming Orange (3 꿈 꾸는 오랜지). These days, the trend around the world (Korea especially) calls for a bright orange lip, and I was more than happy to oblige with this lipstick! I am a big fan of Innisfree products and this is my first item from their lip range, so I was excited to try it out.

These lipsticks have been really popular in Korea since their release, a firm staple for thousands of perfect pouts and gradient lips. The line, with around 14 shades, comprises to in-season corals, pinks and oranges as well as dark plums and muted nudes for the colder months,

The lipstick promises a vivid colour payoff that has both a creamy texture and long lasting qualities. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with the payoff of these lipsticks and the overall texture and quality- the pigmentation is crazy amazing, and as the packaging says with one touch of the bullet you get a great, bright payoff. In the swatch picture above, the swatch on the left is simply one swipe. The finish is not quite fully matte, retaining a certain creaminess and slight sheen to the lips.

Moreover, this lasts for AGES. With a good exfoliation beforehand paired with a lip balm, this lasted on me for around 4 HOURS before it began to fade. Yeah, I'm in love.

I got this from my favourite Korean cosmetic supplier for when I'm not in Korea, beautynetkorea.com. I actually collected enough membership points to get this for free, but otherwise this is $11.43. As always shipping from beautynetkorea is super fast and reliable, and always arrives within around 8-15 days of when I've made my purchase!
Have you tried any Innisfree lip products before and what are your favourites?

The Aritaum "Mono Eyes" line has been extremely popular with the bloggers
in Korea, however have failed to make an impact on the international blog
scene... I was intrigued!

I have two shades from the range, no.45 "metal brown" and no.44 "metal gold".
Both of these shadows have a weird texture that I've never seen before
in any kind of shadow- the pigments are not pressed into the pan flat,
however left in chunks of shadow that makes it a pain in the ass to pick up on
a brush, and also more susceptible to damage. At first, I actually mistook the
chunks of shadow for actual huge pieces of glitter- albeit they are extremely
vivid and amazingly pigmented when used with the fingers. Weeeeeeird.

One thing I do have to say is that even though they are really pigmented,
the lasting power is absolutely crap. Maybe it's because of my junked up
eyelids that are oily and folded in all the wrong places, but this doesn't
last all too well on me. On my hand, it won't budge- but when it comes to
actual application on the lids these will fade to a glittery residue in around
2 hours.

I got these in Korea for 5000 won (around $5, maybe £3 or so), which is
extremely good value for money. The pigmentation of the shadows were definitely
not compromised alongside the price, however, the packaging was. Although the
packaging looks almost identical to that of MAC single eyeshadows, the plastic
is a lot more flimsy and "cheaper looking" after close inspection. Also, as
you can see with no.45, the little clear window popped out and was taped back
on by the aritaum staff- not that I have a problem with the tape or anything,
but it's so inconvenient when the lid decides to self destruct. Judging by the
reviews over in Korea, it seems many others seem to have the same problem
too. :(

So, am I a fan?
I have to admit I am still on the fence with these. Yes, they don't last, the
packaging can be a problem and the texture is not the best for brushes, but
they're really soft and look amazing in the mornings when I want a quick and
easy shadow fix, or for an event or night out.
Would I buy them again? Probably.

You can buy these on Twofacemall for $8.50.

I'm a super big fan of Aritaum and I think they're super underrated- so if you have
the chance to check them out then you should!

I have to give it to Etude House right now, as far as being a trend concious fashionable brand, they are spot on recently! I am really loving their ongoing transformation from cutesy, pink packaging to more sleek and mature packaging, with really on-trend products. So, when I saw the release of the Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint 5th Anniversary tints, I had to pick one up, in none other colour than the on-trend "radiant orchid"-esque @PP501 Cherry Lavender".

As you can see, the outer packaging of the new tint has a sleeker, matte finish with an overall more"grown up" vibe, though still retaining Etude's trademark cuteness. Also, I am super big fan of the illustrations dotted around the box. I can't be the only one squealing at just how adorable the packaging is, right? The little cake, the cherry-hearts and the little stripy border alongside the colourful bunting? Etude, you know how to please a girl. I'm kind of hoping they keep the packaging like this because it's SO much nicer than the older version!

etude house fresh cherry tint pp501 cherry lavender - one swipe / blended out/ two layers

As for the tint itself, it is a lovely bright, yet soft violet that, on the skin, is a more lavender toned pink. I haven't got the actual Benefit Lollitint itself, but from the looks of things the two are pretty similar- so if you want a cheaper, and much cuter alternative look no further than Etude House's offering! Ooh Etude, you so sneaky!
The consistency is somewhat a thick liquid that is really easy to maneuver about the lips, going on with a slight sheen yet drying down to a more natural matte finish after a few minutes. I find it easiest to apply with the little doe-foot provided and blot, before adding another layer for vibrancy afterwards. It does stay on for ages- we're looking around 3 hours here- before it shows any sign of wear!

For comparison, here is Cherry Lavender alongside the two other Fresh Cherry Tint's I own- PK001 Cherry Pink and RD301 Cherry Red. As you can see, compared to Cherry Pink, Cherry Lavender stains quite well but perhaps is not as vibrant as it's red counterpart.

I'd give the tint:

I'm a absolute fan. I'm in love with the colour, the formula and the new packaging. I'm hoping to order OR202 Cherry Coral, which is probably another sneaky dupe for Benefit's Cha-Cha tint!
Etude, you got me good this time!

You can snap up one of these yourself at beautynetkorea.com for $6.21!

ETUDE HOUSE DEAR MY BLOOMING LIPS TALK - PK015 DAZZLING PINK | 에뛰드 하우스 디어 마이 블루밍 립스-톡 - PK015 아찔한 핑크

Woah guys, look at ma fancy editing skillz

So, this is the Etude House "Dear My Blooming Lips Talk" lipstick in "PK015- Dazzling Pink". *and breeeeeathe* . Etude reeeeeeally love their tongue twistersThis was part of a collection called Pink Talk, a series of super cute pink lipsticks in the Lips Talk range. I actually have no idea why I chose the darkest, seemingly most unflattering colour of the five, though...
However, fear not y'all!

PK015 is a dark,  mauve toned pink that is probably not everyone's cup of tea, but yolo, right? (punches self).

Personally, I thought my skin was maybe too yellow to pull this off, but it's not! Though, if you're maybe more shy with your lip colour choices I'd probably steer clear of pretty much all of the range apart from PK011- however, I'm guessing these would be great for gradient lips and stuff like that.

It went on pretty smoothly at first swatch, but on the lips it's SUPER matte and you'll definitely need to exfoliate your lips beforehand, unless you're going for the crusty lip trend look. It's also quite drying too, so a lip balm is really reccomended! But, It did last on my lips for around 3 hours without me eating anything, and once I've blotted it down on my lips, it hardly transfers any product.

So, the lowdown?

-Pretty pigmented,
-Really lovely colour and goes well with all skintones,
-Quite long lasting, doesn't transfer,

-Super matte, so you need a balm beforehand,
-Drying to the lips.
Overall, I'd give this a:

So how about you? Would you go for a "daring" colour like this, or maybe one of the more wearable shades?

ETUDE HOUSE ROSY TINT LIPS - 07 TEA ROSE | 에뛰드 하우스 로지 틴트 립스 07호 티 로즈

Etude House Rosy Tint Lips - 07 Tea Rose | 에뛰드 하우스 로지 틴트 립스 07호 티 로즈

This is such a late review, but for informational purposes, I'll post it anyway!

This little gem wrapped up in rosy goodness is Etude House's Rosy Tint Lips in 07 Tea Rose. Isn't the packaging gorgeous?

The product itself is not dissimilar to Collection 2000's Cream Puffs or the NYX counterpart, with a creme type formula that glides onto the lips. Because it's a matte product, I really advise some kind of exfoliation on your lips beforehand to get rid of all the dead skin, because it will cling to every little dry patch!

The colour I have is a beautiful warm, burnt brick colour that is very flattering on my yellowy toned skin, something that I was pleasantly surprised with. It's quite pigmented and because of the sturdy packaging, it's suceptible to giving out too much product. :( However, this lasts quite a while on my lips at around 2 hours or so. It also has a faint rose scent which isn't really that noticeable, but it's still there.

The foam applicator is something I'm not fussed about, since I use a lip brush anyway- but for touch ups, it can be really useful!

Overall, I really like this product! It's a beautiful colour that lasts pretty well; and it has a texture that makes it feel like there's nothing on your lips. The only downfall is that it clings to dry patches!

So, the Etude House Rosy Tint Lips gets a rating of:

What do you think? Do you have any of these? I'm a fan!

a very well deserved lunch after hours of christmas shopping T.T
what i came out with!
some gifts from korea

Hey strangers!

It's been a while since I've posted on here... (read: 3 months). I didn't really have the time or motivation to blog much, so I'm now stuck with a giant backload of stuff to review and get done!

While I was gone, I did a mammoth load of shopping. You can take the girl away from the blog but you can't take the blog out of the girl, eh! The first and second images are the products of a veeeeeery lengthy spree that saw me run up and down the city at least 4 times over, but I think my haulage was worth it! You'll be seeing lots of reviews of everything soon!

The third picture is the contents of a care package from my best friend in Korea, fit with all the winter nessecities (e.g socks and face packs!) that a girl could ever need! She threw in some really cool goodies like the Aritaum World Glam Tint (LOOOVE), and some sheet masks which I'll be reviewing soon. Would you guys also like a candy review? Because I got LOOOOOOTS of that!

So what have you guys been up to during my 3 month hiatus? Any cool new products to share? Tell me in the comments!
